Skyward is inspired by magical branches slowly capturing the sky. The branches, making their way spontaneously and growing their own unique pattern.

Imagine a dry woodland in a misty landscape, tree’s naked branches reaching out to the gloomy sky. In this depressed weather, these naked branches trying to hold on a hope that one day will spring come and their leaves grow again.

Gauge: 19 stitches and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm square in reverse Stockinette Stitch, after blocking

Begin the yoke using needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round, then change to circular needles as the circumference increases.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Skyward is worked in the round from the top down, beginning with 1x2 Rib at the neck. The yoke is worked in cable pattern with regular increases, then the work is divided for the body and sleeves. The remainder of body and the sleeves are worked from the top down in reverse Stocking stitch (purl every round on RS). The hem and cuffs are finished with 1x1 Rib and cast off with the Italian / Tubular method.
