Triton is constructed in two identical halves, using 3 skeins each for the Wide version, 2 skeins each for the Narrow,
beginning from a center Trident Stitch lace column, with side columns added by casting on additional stitches.
Spiral Grain color transitions can be somewhat ‘matched’ by starting at the same color ends of the hank, or contrasted by starting at the opposite end when beginning the second half.
The lace stitch transitions to drop stitch columns of 1x1 rib. The added stitches are dropped when the half is complete,
allowing vertical yarn ‘ladders’ to form. The two halves are grafted together, with dropped stitch yarns wrapped over
and along the center graft to create a decorative spine.
