Vilnīši, ripples in the water and sand on the beach. Latvia has a very long coastline on the Balc Sea. In the Gulf of Rīga the water is brown, like tea because of tannins from the moors. The Balc Sea is more of a green gold. Where the two waters meet at Cape Kolka you can see the stark difference. Here you can also watch the sunrise and later the sunset over the sea. Just don’t go for a swim as the rip des are intense and unpredictable.
