Twisted stitches, wrapped ribs and subtle curved edges update the classic rectangular shape of Sarma, Turkish for wrapping or winding.

Sarma is worked flat, starting at one short end with an irregular rib which shifts into a body of twisted faux cables, wrapped 2x2 rib, and curved ovals of stockinette stitch, shaped by increase and decrease stitches.
