A triangular take on a cowl, with shifting slipstitch stripes weaving their way around the neck to join in a basketlike pattern one side, colorful dots the other, all on a contrast solid ground.

Dimensions: 8.5”/22 cm wide, neck opening 12.5”/32 cm, outside circ 52”/132 cm, depth at center front 16”/41 cm wet blocked

Gauge: 36 sts x 42 rows in Slipped Basket Stitch using US4/3.5mm ndls = 4”/10 cm

Techniques: Knit and purl stitches, slipped stitches, I-cord edges, grafted short end to one long side

Saman Cowl alternates Color 1 Harvest worked in rib
with Color 2 Uneek slipped stitches. The yarn not being worked is carried up within the I-cord on the right side where yarns change every odd-numbered row start. The Cowl begins with 1 by 2 rib, the central Slipped Basket Stitch is worked, then that short end is grafted to the side of the long starting end to form the triangular cowl.
