Named for the layered hills of the Anatolian highlands, this reversible triangular shawl is a zigzag combination of 1 by 1 Rib and Stockinette stitches, punctuated by eyelet rows and edged in Garter stitch.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows in Reverse Stockinette stitch,
unblocked = 4” / 10 cm
Gauge is not crucial, but will affect yarn usage and the finished size of the work

Skill Level: Intermediate

Yayla starts with Garter stitch rows from the bottom center point, first increasing 2 stitches each RS row, then 2 stitches at the beginning and end of each row. The garter edges
continue up each side, while zigzag shaped reverse stockinette stitch sections topped by eyelet stitches alternate with 1 x 1 Rib sections. The shawl ends with a garter stitch
edge and a stretchy bind off.
